• Maghrib is prayed immediately after sunset.
• The time for Maghrib starts when the sun’s disc disappears into the horizon, until the red twilight is gone.

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said, “Maghrib time is as long as the twilight is present.” [Muslim]

• Twilight is the redness on the western horizon in the evening after sunset.
• Twilight in Arabic is shafaq.
